Game of Thrones

Come on to Game of Thrones visiting the real scenes chosen to film several episodes of the award-winning American series, one of the most expensive in the history of television.

We will visit Itálica, just 9 km from Seville, whose amphitheater served as the setting for the chapter “The dragon’s well“. After following in the footsteps of the dragons, we will visit its streets to recreate the city of the second century AD: its houses decorated with beautiful mosaics and its thermas, are the result of an extension of the oldest Roman city in Spain, which was founded by Scipio “the African” in the course of the II Punic Wars.

We will continue with Osuna, about 80km from Seville, whose Bullring recreated the scene of “The dungeons of Daznak“. Let’s go on a walk through some of its monumental streets and entrance to the Local Museum, which has dedicated a whole hall to the series.

After a break to recharge batteries in one of the best restaurants in Osuna, we will return to Seville to visit the Alcázar, where was filmed the stage of “Gardens of Water”, the summer residence of the governors of Dorne.

The Alcazar of Seville, the oldest royal residence in Europe, dates back to the 10th century, in Muslim times, and has undergone several extensions and renovations over the centuries to offer us at present a monumental complex of palaces and gardens which are the expression of the best of each historical stage. Pedro I and his Mudéjar palace have been the dazzling scenery of multiple films.

In addition, the Gothic palace, with its big hall for royal parties from the XVIth century; the arbor of Carlos V, who chose the Alcazar to get married; the House of Hiring, from where was decided the government of America, etc. And, of course, its extensive recreational gardens.
