Our tourist tour

CARMONA

At just 34 km from Seville (half an hour’s drive), rises up Carmona, millenary city, “Star of Europe”. Being one of the largest towns in the province, Carmona retains all its charm of white town and all the manor of its old urban center, one of the most monumental in Andalusia.

The entrance to the historic center is through its thousand-year-old wall and its Puerta de Sevilla, with Islamic style and turdetan and Roman roots. There begins a succession of white houses, majestic homes, monumental churches, convents, streets and squares, in an intricate urbanism that betrays the Muslim imprint of the city, reconquered by the same king who conquered the neighboring Seville, Fernando III el Santo.

At the top is located the Alcázar de Arriba, converted into a Parador (Special Quality Hotel), with unparalleled views of the fertile plain of Carmona.

Our visit will start from top to bottom, from the Parador to Sevilla’s Gate, making a break at the historic Plaza de San Fernando.

On our tour we will find convents such as Santa Clara, or the Priory Church of Santa Maria, and noble houses such as those of Marqués de las Torres, Rueda, Lasso, Dominguez, and many others which will make the visit to Carmona an unforgettable memory.

The visit to the Roman Necropolis of Carmona, located near the entrance to the city from Seville, can be included in the tour at the request of those people interested, with a separate price.
